Ice Cream & Mini Golf

As the sun is still out we decide not to head too far today after returning to Manapouri after our Doubtful Sound cruise.

So a short drive down the road takes us to Te Anau where we get parked up in the campsite and head off for a look round town.

Although there is not much to Te Anau (other than as a launching off point for adventures into Fiordland) we do manage to get some nice ice-creams and then a spot of mini-golf.

The mini-golf is a somewhat relaxed affair.
Perfect
When you turn up you pick up the phone in the cabin and let them know you are going to play, then just grab some putters and balls and off you go.  The lady turns up to collect your money as you go round.

Mrs M was on fire at the mini-golf and apart from one small slip up on the loop the loop thundered home with a 2n1 victory.  This crushing defeat also meant that Mr M had to buy the fish and chips for tea...

The fish and chips from the little van on the lake front are cooked to order and are delicious.  A great end to another great day.
