We have a big journeying day ahead
of us today – back down the coast towards Dunedin and then heading westwards to
Central Otago, where we are aiming to stay in Cromwell.
The weather is getting better and better
through the trip and today is no exception as we are enjoying a lovely sunny
and hot day – 25C! We picnic lunch in
Wedderburn
and then head on to Alexandra and then Clyde.
Clyde is a lovely little town and in
sweltering temperatures it is of course time for a cup of tea. As part of our overall itinerary we have a
rough plan of the places we want to visit and roughly how long we should stay
in each. This brings us on to the big
debate – whether to have 2 nights in Cromwell and cycle part of the Central Otago Rail Trail
or to use our spare night instead to re-visit Wanaka which we totally loved the
first time around and which is only an hour or so from Cromwell.
Will it be one night or two? to be
continued…
