Today we make our way easterly along
the Great Ocean Road and in this stretch we see some of the highlights of this
part of the south Victoria coast including:
And best of all The 12 Apostles
Interestingly these sights are now
not exactly like their names suggests, for example London Bridge isn’t a bridge
and there are not 12 Apostles. As we are
on the Southern Ocean this is a very dynamic coastline under active erosion and
it is constantly changing. At least we
managed not to get stranded on an outcrop like a couple did on London Bridge a
few years ago when part of it collapsed leaving them stranded for a few hours
until they got rescued by helicopter.
