With a few hours of free time left
in Hong Kong today before our flight to Kota Kinabalu we are mulling over some
of the options at breakfast when we decide it has to be one more ride on the Star
Ferry – I told you we really like the Star Ferry !
So off we pop for the short walk to
the ferry pier and then catch the ferry to the Hong Kong Conference
Centre. From here we see the statues
which were built for the hand-over of Hong Kong from Britain to China in 1997.
It was very interesting to see some
of the history behind the handover but it was soon time to head back to the
hotel and then to the airport and onto Borneo.
