Although there is little time
difference between NZ and Oz the couple of hours difference means we are up and
about quite early. This is lucky as we
have another action packed day ahead.
First up we head off through TheRocks to Circular Quay and on to the Opera House. We pop in to see if there are any last minute
tickets available for a show tonight and pick up a couple of tickets to see the
play Signs of Life tonight.
Kelvin takes in the view |
From the Opera House we wander round
the harbour side to the Botanic Gardens and grab a reviving cuppa as it is
already pretty hot, before heading back through town to Circular Quay.
The CBD from the botanic gardens |
At Circular Quay we jump onto a
harbour cruise which is a great way to spend a couple of hours getting our
bearings cruising round the harbour. We
see lots of very nice neighbourhoods of Sydney, yachts racing in the harbour
and also some great views of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge.
Some nice harbour front properties |
AUS40 an Americas Cup yacht |
Sydney Harbour Bridge |
Sydney Opera House |
Then we pop back to the B&B to
freshen up before grabbing a quick bite to eat in The Rocks and then onto see
our play in the Opera House.
It’s been an action packed day but
as we head to bed we decide we already really like Sydney as it is a bit like a
cross between Hong Kong and Wellington.
