Today is another long driving day as
we have about 221km to go from Fort Barli to Rohet Garh (just south of Jodhpur)
with Mr Khan at the wheel.
Fortunately there is no
heavy rain and the journey passes fairly uneventfully as we pass through the
Aravalli hills and we see many interesting villages, some wild camels and
the usual manic driving.

Mr Khan has been a fairly constant
presence in our journey round India so far as he has been our driver since
picking us up at the airport last Tuesday.
It is quite reassuring having Mr Khan around as he pretty much always
knows where he is going and is a safe driver on the manic Indian roads. However it dawned on us today however that
those following the blog haven’t seen Mr Khan yet, so find below a picture of
Mr Khan with our car outside Rohet.

Douggie, The Psammites are Paleozoic. Although the reflection of your mug in the window is a bit distracting, I can clearly see an unusually high proportion of lagerstätten. Interestingly, near to the really really bendy rock bits there looks to be evidence of the Treptichnus pedum assemblage. Quite a lucky photo.
